The initial courses will be of a training nature with a strong practical bias:-

  • Care and maintenance of established trees in landscapes
  • Collection and storage of tree seeds
  • Formative pruning
  • Identification of invasive alien woody plants
  • Managing tree hazards and risks
  • Ornamental tree identification
  • Other tree cultivation husbandry practices
  • Propagation of trees
  • Tree planting
  • Tree relocation and transplanting
  • Tree rigging

These would empower the trainee to be more independent and competent in the field.
